Biography

Formally an adult geriatric nurse practitioner who was a former director of nursing for over 16 years and had experience working in long-term care facilities. I specialized in the following areas: infection control programs, quality assurance, staff development, and holistic Alzheimer's programs.

As a nurse practitioner, I have had the pleasure of working with many patients. Some patients have been in the hospital for months, and others have been there for just a few days. However, one thing remains the same: every patient deserves to be cared for by a professional with the skills to do the job well. I believe that this is why I decided to become a nurse practitioner.

I believe a nurse practitioner should always be a good listener and have solid communication skills. I also think that a nurse should know how to ask questions to get all the information they need to make a good diagnosis. In addition, a practitioner should be able to make an accurate assessment to move forward in the healing process.
