Stephanie McCallum is an intern student at Capella University in her 3rd year of the Clinical Psychology Psy.D program. She is currently performing her practicum at HIAAH Mental Health Practice. She has a high experience in psychological assessment, specifically cognitive testing, with a focus on traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities, and mood disorders. Stephanie Has earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology research and Methods and her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Brockport University. She is also receiving her Behavior Analysis Assistant Certification at Rutgers University.
With a background in American Sign Language (ASL), Stephanie can communicate with deaf, hard of hearing, and speech-impaired individuals. Offering an all-encompassing environment for them to gain mental health aid.
Along with vast experience working with individuals of all ages with multiple backgrounds, Stephanie has worked with individuals diagnosed with autism, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, and intellectual disabilities. She presents a high form of Person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), offering proper case conceptualization, evidence-based techniques, and empathy for her clients.
Her focus is to provide proper coping skills, dedication, and compassion to support her clients. Whether it is through assessments or treatment plans, her main goal is to assist her client. By extending the right resources to improve their quality of life and to achieve their goals.
