Hey there! I want to congratulate you on taking the first step towards finding a therapist. It's a significant step, and I'm here to help you along the way. As a first-generation graduate, I'm passionate about breaking the stigmas surrounding mental health and addiction. I studied at the University of Bridgeport for my undergraduate degree and later earned my Master's in Social Work from Sacred Heart University. With over 20 years of experience in the field, I've worked with a diverse range of people, including formerly incarcerated, homeless, struggling with substance abuse, women and children, survivors of domestic violence, and those who have experienced trauma.
In my approach, I incorporate a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Transgenerational Therapy, and Psychoeducation. My aim is to provide a compassionate and supportive environment, free of judgment, where I can meet you where you are in your journey. My approach is strengths-based, and my ultimate goal is to help you achieve your therapeutic goals and improve your overall well-being.
