Hannah Geisler offers a wide range of mental health experience. She has successfully worked in adult substance abuse and with children, adolescents, and their families. She possesses a strong working knowledge of addiction, anxiety, depression, and individual and family therapy. Hannah is enrolled in Fairfield University’s clinical mental health counseling program and is slated to graduate in May 2025. Her beginnings originated at Virginia Tech, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. After several years of post-graduate work in human and animal medicine, Hannah made the carefully considered decision to help people with their emotions. Her varied background has enabled her to get to know a wide range of demographics and support a broad cross-section of the population in intense and unique situations. Some of these situations were grief, helping to make the dynamic in families with adult child substance abusers more peaceful, pet loss, helping to navigate suicidal /homicidal thinking calmly and compassionately, and general conflict resolution.
Hannah believes therapy is a safe space where people can express themselves without judgment and be met with pure compassion and hope. Hannah has a lovingly assertive style. This means that she will listen intently and then give feedback to help you improve your life and resiliency.
If you or someone you know is looking for a clinician to help an adult, child, or family vastly improve their life, Hannah will help you develop and grow on your journey. She holds hope for all she encounters and believes in the resiliency of the human spirit. She understands that therapy is at times a difficult process and also uses her levity and sense of humor to help people get comfortable with being themselves.
